› The consequences caused by the four years of war and destruction of
our country are still brutal reality of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to proper evaluations, it is necessary to secure 42 billion US$ for
reconstructing and including of the BH economy in the new economic trends.
In the last five years, the international community provided approximately 5 billion US$
through the donor conferences and from other financial resources what was invested in the
reconstruction of infrastructure (energy, telecommunications, transport, plumbing,
pipelines, etc.).
During the same period, the credit lines, which are needed for reconstruction, revival and
revitalization of the economic capacities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina,
were provided.
› World Bank, USAID, EBRD, Soros
Foundation, Kuwait Fund, and other funds, autonomously or in cooperation with some of
domestic banks, have approved the mentioned credit lines.
Considering the needed financial means, the possibility of investing in the economy of
Federation of B&H through the credit lines must be used, so attracting of the foreign
capital is still one of the main goals.
In the future, we expect establishing of liberalization of the society, creating of the
favorable social-economic and political ambient, reducing of corruption as well as
initiating of privatization for the large number of companies. The mentioned processes
could stimulate the foreign investors to participate in the process of privatization in
the Federation of B&H.
› Due to necessity of the capital, the
high rate of interest, which is even higher than in some developed countries, is
acceptable in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina what should impact on the foreign
investors to start investing in our country.
It is necessary to add that financial means can be insured from the non-commercial risks
through the Agency IGA (Investment Guarantee Agency). The IGA is supported by the state of
Bosnia and Herzegovina, World Bank and MIGA (member of the World Bank).
Invest in the economy of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is worth of risk.
