Preparatory activities for the jubilee 20th International Ecology Fair – EKOBIS 2024 have intensified in recent days.
The 4th Organizing Committee meeting of the fair was held, where the organizers and present members presented the activities carried out so far and the plan for the next ones.
Marketing activities have been significantly intensified through an outdoor campaign in all municipalities of the canton, as well as in several cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Promotion has also been strengthened with local media partners.
Exhibitor interest is high and fair capacities are being filled rapidly. As in previous years, between 150 and 200 exhibitors are expected at the fair, presenting themselves on about 3,000 m2 of indoor and outdoor space of the “Luke” Sports Hall in Bihać. The currently registered exhibitors come from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, and Turkey.
Along with traditional exhibitors from agriculture, food production, wood processing, tourism, hospitality, and other service and production activities presenting their products and services with an eco label, this year a significant number of craftsmen and small business owners are also expected to offer visitors quality domestic products.
The fair theme is “Green Transition,” and this year’s rich accompanying program will also follow green topics such as sustainability, energy efficiency, climate policies, circular economy, electromobility, and others. Presentations of tourism potential, project activities of important institutions from the canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as partners from the region, will also be held, along with various workshops and the traditional eco-quiz.
The jubilee 20th International Ecology Fair – EKOBIS 2024 will be held from 5 to 8 September 2024 at the “Luke” Sports Hall in Bihać. Within EKOBIS 2024, the 3rd International Tourism Fair – EKOTOUR and the 4th International Crafts Fair will also take place.
The organizer and holder of all activities is the Chamber of Commerce of Una-Sana Canton, while the general patrons are the Government of Una-Sana Canton and the Ministry of Economy of Una-Sana Canton. The host and co-organizer of the fair is the City of Bihać.
The organization was also supported this time by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, the Sava River Basin Water Agency, as well as the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
