The University of Tuzla was successfully presented at the international symposium “Bridging Research Between Business and Academia for a Greener Tomorrow,” held in Podgorica, Montenegro, from 16 to 17 October 2025.
The symposium was organized within the Erasmus+ project 1FUTURE, whose primary goal is to strengthen the capacities of higher education institutions in the Western Balkans for the effective implementation of the objectives of the European Green Deal (Green Deal).
This significant scientific gathering was jointly organized by the University of Montenegro, the Faculty of Economics of the University of Tirana, and the University of Novi Sad. It brought together eminent experts, researchers, and representatives of the business community with the aim of encouraging multidisciplinary dialogue and the exchange of the latest scientific achievements and best practices in addressing the key challenges of climate change and the implementation of sustainable development.
The University of Tuzla was represented at the symposium by teachers and associates from the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Civil Engineering, who actively participated in plenary and thematic discussions and presented five scientific papers.
The participation of the University of Tuzla and the RGGF at the “1FUTURE” Symposium is a strong confirmation of the University’s commitment to international scientific cooperation, the promotion of sustainability principles, and the implementation of the Green Deal objectives. It is also a step toward strengthening ties between the academic community and the real sector, a key segment for realizing the 1FUTURE project vision of building more resilient and sustainable communities in the Western Balkans.
