Bosnia and Herzegovina is marking three decades since the introduction of the barcode with the 387 prefix, a global symbol of efficiency and product identification. This also marks 30 years of GS1 Bosnia and Herzegovina, the only authorized organization for the application of GS1 standards in the country.
In honor of this anniversary, in partnership with GS1 Bosnia and Herzegovina, we are organizing the 9th GS1 Conference, under the slogan:
“30 years of leadership in innovation and digital transformation”

Panel discussions
• E-fiscalization and e-invoice: The discussion will cover planned legal amendments in the Federation of BiH, technical requirements, the role of the Tax Administration, software companies and banks, as well as challenges for small and medium-sized enterprises. Compatibility with the system of Republika Srpska and the expected implementation deadlines will also be discussed.
• Interconnection between EDI providers: Participants will discuss current practices in BiH and the region, regulatory frameworks, market needs and interoperability issues. Special focus will be on transparency and the potential costs of these services.
• Technologies for barcodes: The latest trends in the field of digital product labeling will be presented – including the use of digital labels, mobile reading applications, 2D codes and the integration of scanners into modern retail and logistics systems.
