A two-day consultative workshop of Thematic Working Groups was held in Doboj on 22 and 23/10/2025 within the project “Technical assistance for improved material recovery from waste through separate collection, reuse and recycling based on the principles of the circular economy” (CETAP), funded by the European Union.
During the first day, participants exchanged views on policies, the regulatory framework and the role of institutions in the transition to a circular economy. The discussions showed a high level of engagement and readiness of all stakeholders to cooperate in improving the waste management system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On the second day, the focus was on economic instruments, public awareness and strategic approaches to the transition. Participants continued the discussion on best practices, challenges and future steps for improving material recovery and the circular economy in BiH. The working atmosphere and constructive exchange of ideas marked both days of the workshop.
Representatives of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH also actively participated in the work of the Thematic Working Groups.
