At the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, during the first two days, working meetings of the Project Board were held with a focus on key work packages, including planning the SKILL2SUSTAIN Symposium, with an overview of the latest analysis in digital and green education, along with an assessment of the needs of higher education institutions and stakeholders from the Western Balkans, equipment procurement and the establishment of research and education centers, as well as quality assurance, dissemination and financial reporting.

The focus was on integrating sustainability competencies, as well as the principles of circular economy and green skills into teaching, learning and institutional development.

Members of the SKILL2SUSTAIN project consortium attended a ceremonial academy held on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb.

The study visit was organized at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Zagreb, with a tour of the construction site of the new Zagreb City Library and the Social and Cultural Center in Paromlin, where participants were introduced to a practical approach to education on green building, project-based learning in LCA and the use of virtual reality for decarbonized buildings.

On that occasion, the partners of the SKILL2SUSTAIN project had the opportunity to exchange experiences and become acquainted with innovative teaching and research practices to support the green and digital transition in higher education across the Western Balkans.
