At the invitation and organization of IZFAS, the organizer of more than 35 fairs in Izmir annually, the Vice President of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, Mr. Mirsad Jašarspahić, accompanied by representatives of BH businesspeople from the field of research and exploitation of natural resources in the Federation of BiH, participated in the International Fair of Mining, Natural Resources and Technology MINEX 2025, held from 03 to 06.09. in Izmir, in a modern complex with a total area of 330,000 m², designed exclusively for fair and congress purposes.
The fair brought together experts and equipment manufacturers for exploration and exploitation in the fields of mining, natural resources, and related technologies from around the world.
The Bosnian-Herzegovinian business delegation included representatives of Bosnian-Herzegovinian mines and Elektroprivreda BiH, who had the opportunity to meet and directly talk with manufacturers of equipment and complete systems in the field of exploration and exploitation of natural resources.
At working meetings with representatives of this largest and most modern fair complex in Turkey, all annual activities and fairs organized in the Izmir Fair complex were presented, as well as fairs in Bosnia and Herzegovina in which the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH is a partner. After detailed discussions about the interested fields and target groups at the presented fair and congress events, further directions of cooperation on representation and promotion in both countries were agreed.
The opportunity was also used for a meeting and socializing with the President of the World Union of the Diaspora of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Hasan Šehović, who has lived and worked in Izmir for many years, as well as with Mr. Atila Baysak, a prominent businessman of Bosnian origin.
During the visit to the fair, Jašarspahić, together with Mr. Šehović and Mr. Baysak, also participated in the conference B40 Balkan Cities Network, which was held this year under the patronage of the Mayor of Izmir, Mr. Dr. Cemil Tugay, with topics on the future of urban innovation, thereby emphasizing the importance of the role of chambers of commerce in networking local communities, i.e. their industrial zones.
Throughout the stay, the Bosnian-Herzegovinian delegation had operational and logistical support from the fair organizers, for which all members of the delegation are deeply grateful.
