At the invitation of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, the President of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, together with a large number of representatives of companies and institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina (30 representatives), attended the international conference titled “International Health Day 2026”, which was held on 24 and 25 March 2026 in Vienna.
The conference provided a unique opportunity to meet experts from the Republic of Austria, as well as representatives from 50 countries around the world (a total of 480 participants). In addition to presentations, panel discussions and company visits, participants also had the opportunity at the premises of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce to arrange B2B meetings with representatives of Austrian industry, clusters, suppliers, and representatives of the scientific community.
Special emphasis was placed on the following topics:
• Smart manufacturing: digital transformation and automation in the life science products sector (including pharmaceuticals and medical technology)
• Export opportunities and challenges
• The central role of artificial intelligence in the internationalization of life science start-up companies
• Internationalization in the digital health sector with practical examples
• B2B talks that can be arranged via the platform or on site
A reception was also organized for representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina by the Wiener Wirtschaftsagentur (Vienna Business Agency).
President Jašarspahić took the opportunity, in a conversation with the Vice President of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (Mr. Andreas Herz), to emphasize the importance of continuing good cooperation between the institutions through their office in Sarajevo, highlighting the proactive approach of their representatives in all activities carried out by the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH. It was precisely thanks to such positive achievements that, after the representatives of Austria, the largest organized group of participants comes from Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was noted on that occasion.
