In Podgorica, under the organization of GIZ, the Regional Meeting on Architecture, Engineering and Construction Services in CEFTA was held from 03 to 04 December.
This regional meeting brought together professionals from the architecture, engineering and construction sectors across CEFTA to explore the opportunities offered by Additional Protocol 6 (AP6) under CEFTA.
The event brought together representatives of professional associations, national regulatory bodies and the private sector, encouraging discussions on regional integration and market growth. Participants reviewed AP6 obligations for architectural, engineering and construction services and initiatives for mutual recognition of professional qualifications. They identified effective solutions to trade barriers in the CEFTA region.
In addition to representatives of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH and the Chamber of Commerce of the RS, on behalf of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Emir Pašič and Erdal Trhulj participated, as a representative of the engineering chamber established within the Chamber.
Participants learned how AP6 provisions, such as mutual recognition agreements and market access, are key to creating a single regional market. Stakeholders shared insights on overcoming barriers to regional cooperation and encouraging competitive participation in large projects. The discussions highlighted progress in mutual recognition agreements and alignment with EU mobility frameworks.
This meeting is a critical step in building a stronger future of cooperation for the architecture, engineering and construction sector of the CEFTA region.
