THE CHAMBER OF ECONOMY OF FBIH PARTICIPATED IN THE INITIAL MEETING OF THE ERASMUS+ PROJECT SKILL2SUSTAIN IN NOVI SAD

The initial meeting of the Erasmus+ project “Promoting digital and green skills for a resilient and sustainable society of the Western Balkans – SKILL2SUSTAIN”, co-founded by the European Union, was successfully held at the Science and Technology Park of the University of Novi Sad.

The event was held from May 5 to 6, 2025.

The project is focused on the Western Balkans, with the main goal of integrating a holistic approach to digitalization and green transition through the development of an efficient, modern, and sustainable educational ecosystem.

The primary goal of the Project is to establish a holistic approach to digitalization and green transition action by creating an effective, modern, and sustainable educational ecosystem – study programs and certified lifelong learning programs for the dual green and digital transition.

The Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by Emir Pašić, who presented the Chamber’s work to the project team members, with reference to the Chamber’s role in this Project, as well as the Chamber’s activities on the 1Future, BuildScills Academy, and Derhe projects.

Specific project objectives:

  • Establish research and education centers (REC) for green and digital transition within each VBC;
  • Raise awareness among staff and the student community about the need for green and digital skills within HEIs;
  • Promote green transition and a culture of digitalization in WBC HEIs;
  • Increase synergy between the academic community and participants for the implementation of joint green transition and digitalization initiatives;
  • Strengthen networking and cooperation between staff and student communities of Western Balkan countries and the EU regarding digitalization and green transition activities.

The project consortium of 14 partners from 7 countries, covering higher education institutions, non-governmental organizations, and chambers of commerce and industry, consists of:

University of Novi Sad, JU University of Montenegro, University of Tirana, Polytechnic University Tirana (Albania), University of Banja Luka, University of Ljubljana, University of Zagreb, University “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, Civil Engineering, Science and Practice, CEPS – Center for Business Studies, Kiseljak, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chamber of Engineers of Montenegro, Institute for Environmental and Territorial Management, Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Regional Chamber of Commerce Banja Luka.
