The Federation of BiH Chamber of Economy/Commerce informs the business community that JP BH
Pošta d.o.o. Sarajevo has implemented the first digital service offered in 2024. This is a
project of PKI infrastructure aligned with EU eIDAS standards, on the basis of which JP
BH Pošta d.o.o. Sarajevo has been entered into the Register of Certifiers in BiH at the Ministry of
Communications and Transport of BiH.
By achieving this status, JP BH Pošta has gained the right to issue a qualified electronic
certificate (digital certificate), the use of which has the value of a handwritten signature in the execution of
legal acts.
The qualified electronic certificate issued by the Certifier JP BH Pošta can currently
be used in the following cases:
• independent signing of a .pdf document using e.g. the Acrobat Reader application
• independent signing of a Microsoft Office document (Word, Excel, Outlook…)
• signing of an .xml file for submitting a VAT return within the ePDV application of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH
• within USAID e-Government projects in local government bodies.
In addition to the above-mentioned purposes, JP BH Pošta is also carrying out activities on the timely
testing of the use of the digital certificate in projects whose development is underway:
• Federal Tax Administration (applications nPIS, eJS…)
• UNDP for the needs of the Sarajevo Canton administration
• Ministry of Interior of the Central Bosnia Canton (eCitizen application)
Compared with certificates of other certifiers, the advantages of the digital certificate issued by the
Certifier JP BH Pošta are as follows:
• on average lower price,
• the certificate is issued in the form of a QSCD USB token for which no additional reader is needed on the computer,
it is used like a USB stick for data storage,
• the request can currently be submitted in cantonal centers where JP BH Pošta provides
postal services as well as in the Brčko District, where the device on which the digital
certificate is stored is also collected.
We invite business entities to use the new digital service of issuing
a qualified electronic certificate, which will greatly simplify their business operations.
