BiH delegation at the forum “China-Europe Hidden Champions”

The forum held in Beijing, PR China, represents an important platform for German and European “hidden champions”, industry experts and officials to discuss opportunities for cooperation. The aim of the forum is to promote industrial projects between China, Germany and Europe, with a focus on new trends in economic and technological development. As can be seen at the forum itself, German companies continue to invest in China, especially in research and development centers and specialized production. These investments are driven by China’s advantages in certain areas and policies that attract foreign investment. Business parks such as the Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark are working to improve the business environment for German companies.

In addition, China is actively developing its “Little Giant” program, aimed at building specialized SMEs that dominate their niches. This program is inspired by the German model of “hidden champions”, known for innovation, specialization and global market leadership. By 2025, China plans to develop 10,000 “little giant” enterprises and 1,000 leaders in individual industries.

Beijing is home to the China-Germany Industrial Park, a demonstration zone of cooperation between the two countries. The park aims to attract German investors and encourage joint projects between Chinese and German companies. The city is actively working to create a more open and attractive business environment for foreign investors. China-Germany cooperation covers various sectors, including new energy, smart vehicles, the digital economy and education. One example of good cooperation is companies such as ElringKlinger and LAUDA, which are expanding their presence in China and continuing to invest in research and development.

In 2025, the focus remains on strengthening economic and technological cooperation between China, Germany and Europe, with special emphasis on “hidden champions” – specialized, innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

This year as well, the BiH delegation was present at the forum consisting of: co-organizer and representative of the Forum Halida Cerić, Minister of Economy of TK Edin Duraković, Minister of Economy of ZDK Samir Šibonjić, representative of the ZEPS fair Sanel Ibrić, representative of AS Holding Adis Hasković and representative of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH Armin Hodžić.
