EDUCATION ON EU PROJECTS

Education on EU projects” is organized by the Foundation of Entrepreneurs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Bosnian Representative Association for Valuable Opportunities (BRAVO), the contact point for Erasmus+ projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the training on financing EU projects, organizations and companies will be able to learn more about different aspects of preparation, application and management of projects financed by the European Union.

Some of the topics covered by the training are:

  1. Structure and objectives of EU funds: Participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with the structure of EU project financing, the types of funds available and the sectors that can apply for them. You will also learn more about the goals and priorities of EU funds and how they align with the strategies of organizations and companies.
  2. Financial aspects of EU projects: The training will also cover the financial aspects of EU projects, including budgeting, rules and guidelines for spending funds, reporting on costs and monitoring the financial flow of the project. Participants will learn how to properly prepare a project budget, how to properly use funds during project implementation and how to report on the financial status of the project.
  3. Opportunities of BiH companies and organizations in EU Funds – All present will have the opportunity to hear information about the possibilities of their enterprises, companies, associations, how and in what way they can access EU Grants and how and where to apply.
  4. Project cycle management: This topic covers all phases of the project cycle, including identification, formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project. Participants will learn about the basic principles of project management, risks and changes, as well as techniques for monitoring and evaluating project results.
  5. Partnership and networks: The training will also focus on the importance of partnerships and networking in the context of EU projects. Participants will learn more about the benefits of establishing partnerships with other organizations and companies, as well as how to choose the right partners, establish effective communication and manage mutual relations during project implementation.
  6. Administrative and legal aspects of EU projects: We will discuss the administrative and legal aspects of EU projects, including rules and regulations related to participation in EU funds, administrative project management, public procurement rules and intellectual property protection. Participants will be familiarized with the key guidelines and regulations that should be respected during application and implementation in order to avoid any irregularities and risks.
  7. Communication and dissemination of results: Communication as a key component of the success of EU projects. Participants will learn about the importance of developing a communication strategy, identifying target groups, creating effective messages and using different communication channels to spread project results and achieve the desired visibility.
  8. Examples: What is especially valued is the presentation of all theoretical aspects through practical examples. With our lecturers, you will have the opportunity to share your ideas and get answers to all your questions on the spot, as well as help with applying.

Participants: The invitation is open to all interested organizations, companies, associations, foundations and individuals who want to improve their business through projects and be an example of positive change in society.

Participation in the training is 200 KM, while for all members of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH the training is 100 KM, and for those who decide to join the Foundation of Entrepreneurs in BiH the training is FREE upon completion of the membership form.

Lecturer: Ismail Šehić

 

Briefly, we will also introduce the lecturer at the “Education on EU projects”, Ismail Šehić, who has years of experience working with the European Union both through various projects and through his non-governmental organization, which is one of the strongest in Europe in the field of Erasmus+ projects of the European Union. His active involvement in Youth projects began in 2011, as a participant and trainer. In 2014 he received a trainer license. So far, he has been entrusted with the role of trainer in more than 30 European and non-European countries in which he had the opportunity to work with different groups of people.

His current professional background is as director of the BRAVO organization, president of the International Cooperation Sector in the Red Cross, especially responsible for international cooperation and international volunteers, and director of the Foundation of Entrepreneurs in BiH.

In addition, he works as an International Project Officer in the Jordanian Forum for Youth Innovation, responsible for cooperation and partnerships with European organizations. He is also a project manager and trainer for MV International, but at the same time a mentor for several start-up companies around the world.

The attempt to work on peacebuilding and reconciliation is one of the topics of modern society on which it is difficult to work, but he has proven his quality and knowledge of this topic and received the award for the best young leader in 2013 in Europe, delegated by European institutions, and in 2014 for peacebuilding and reconciliation from the city council.
