At the beginning of this week, B2B meetings of Bosnian and Turkish automotive aftermarket companies were held at the Swissotel in Sarajevo. The event was organized by the Automotive Industry Group of Bosnia and Herzegovina on behalf of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, the industrial marketing agency Bravaria Industrial Marketing, and the Automotive Cluster of Serbia, with a primary focus on the automotive industry of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey. The aim of the event was to bring together companies from both countries, provide networking opportunities and encourage potential business cooperation.
The event began with presentations by guests from Turkey, who provided participants with valuable insight into the current state of the Turkish automotive industry and expressed interest in future cooperation with Bosnian-Herzegovinian companies in this sector.
Emirhan Balkan, deputy general manager of the company “HANN filter”, expressed satisfaction with the organization and hospitality, as well as with the level of the automotive industry in BiH.
Insight into the business of Bosnian automotive companies was offered by Armin Hodžić, director of the energy sector of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH and head of the Automotive Industry Group of BiH. He reminded those present of the rich history and tradition of industrial production in the Bosnian automotive industry.
“It is enough to recall the big names FAMOS, PRETIS, TAS, which wrote the rich history
of this industry. On the other hand, we must focus more on the present, but also on the future,
which is why our automotive industry is trying to follow global trends such as
transport electrification, electromobility and many other trends present in this
branch,” Hodžić pointed out.
After the educational and informative presentations, participants were given the opportunity to network. During the B2B meetings, the companies introduced themselves to each other, initial contacts were established and initial partnerships were created, thereby starting business interactions between Turkish and Bosnian companies with the aim of developing and improving them.
“There is a lot of potential in the automotive industry of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Balkans in general. These
events are very worthwhile in the long term: in a short period we agree on clear and concrete
steps, which significantly speeds up the establishment of cooperation. Today we managed to agree on eight
new partnerships,” said Sumru Idil Horoz, representative of the initiators of the event from Turkey.
The same experience was confirmed by representatives of Bosnian companies. The B2B meetings achieved the goal of strengthening ties between Bosnian and Turkish companies. The combination of presentations, exchange of knowledge, effective networking sessions and a pleasant atmosphere certainly represent a step forward in the dialogue between the industries of these countries.
