During May 2023, ZEOS eco-system d.o.o., in its capacity as the authorized operator of the e-waste management system, financed the procurement and installation of 56 new containers for small appliances in 35 municipalities of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The value of the investment is around 200,000.00 KM, and it will provide a free e-waste disposal service for the population, thereby reducing the amount of electronic waste in landfills and redirecting it to the recycling sector of our country.
“We should bear in mind that electrical and electronic waste is hazardous waste, and that it causes various serious health conditions and developmental difficulties if it is disposed of together with other waste or inadequately processed by third parties without equipment or by burning. That is why it is very important to track where the waste is collected and where it ends up,” said Emil Šehić, the company’s director.
Citizens can dispose of all types of small appliances up to 45 cm in diameter in the new containers, including laptops, phones, chargers, kettles, irons, electric toys, music equipment, tools, various instruments, other kitchen appliances and similar items. The containers have been placed in the following municipalities, which expressed interest and issued valid approvals for their installation: Breza, Bugojno, Čapljina, Čelić, Čitluk, Doboj Istok, Donji Vakuf, Drvar, Foča-Ustikolina, Fojnica, Goražde, Gornji Vakuf – Uskoplje, Gradačac, Ilidža, Ilijaš, Kalesija, Kupres, Livno, Lukavac, Neum, Novi Travnik, Odžak, Olovo, Centar Sarajevo, Novo Sarajevo, Stari Grad Sarajevo, Stolac, Široki Brijeg, Tešanj, Tomislavgrad, Travnik, Trnovo (FBiH), Usora, Vareš, Zavidovići.

ZEOS eco-system d.o.o. is the authorized operator of the system for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose operations are based on a non-profit principle.
