SECW from 25-29 September will offer solutions for a just energy transition

The Sarajevo Energy and Climate Week SECW will be held in Sarajevo from 25 to 29 September 2023, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH and with technical support from nLogic Advisory. The focus of this event is a just transition and decarbonization of the energy sector with the aim of achieving climate neutrality and establishing a circular economy.

Since the energy sector represents the pillar of economic development of every country, Bosnia and Herzegovina, which today is a regional leader thanks to its rich heritage and experience in energy, continues to follow trends in the energy sector. This brings a number of challenges that imply making difficult decisions about the future of the energy sector, taking into account the importance of climate change, i.e. the goals of climate neutrality and decarbonization of the energy sector of BiH by 2050.

The event is important because decision-makers at all levels related to the future of energy in the region will gather in one place, as well as experts who advise decision-makers and develop the strategic framework, entrepreneurs who invest and create new jobs, and representatives of the NGO sector who advocate for transparency in the energy transition.
