30th International Autumn Fair Opened in Bjelovar

The jubilee thirtieth Autumn International Bjelovar Fair, which this year brought together more than 300 exhibitors from Croatia and about ten foreign countries, was opened on Friday at the fairgrounds in Gudovac near Bjelovar.

On over 100 thousand square meters, in addition to the traditional fair event, the state livestock exhibition, THE FIFTH ELEMENT – the fair of heating and renewable energy sources, and THE WOODEN WORLD – the fair of forestry equipment and wood technologies are also being held.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a neighboring country whose largest foreign trade partner is the Republic of Croatia, presented itself at this year’s fair in an exhibition space of 100 m2.

Tourism potential was one of the focuses of presenting our country, and visitors could see the entire tourism offer of Bosnia and Herzegovina via a huge LED panel in the BiH exhibition space.

This year, Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented at the fair in Bjelovar by the Herzegovina Tourism Cluster, Visit Sarajevo, TORS (Tourism Organization of Republika Srpska), Una Sana Cluster, Bihać Tourist Board, AS GROUP (AS Jelah, Vispak Zlatna džezva, Klas, Agrokomerc), Vinarija Čitluk, Podrumi Andrija Paoča, PUĐA cheese, BELGRAD d.o.o, Bios Visoko, and many other exhibitors through catalogs and leaflets.

On behalf of the chamber system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On behalf of the President of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, Prof. Dr. Marko Šantić, the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was led by Dario Planinić, promotion advisor.

In addition to the delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina, on behalf of the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Croatia, H.E. Ms. Elma Kovačević-Bajtal, Mr. Zoran Perković, minister, and Ms. Nermana Hadžijahić, advisor to the ambassador, attended the opening ceremony of the fair and the meeting with domestic and foreign officials.

This year’s fair event was officially opened by Ms. Marija Vučković, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Croatia, who was also the high envoy of Prime Minister Mr. Andrej Plenković, who after the opening ceremony together with the Bjelovar-Bilogora County Prefect Mr. Marko Marušić, the Mayor of Bjelovar Mr. Dario Hrebak and members of parliament visited the exhibition space of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
