The Chamber of Economy/Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and nLogic Advisory with partners are organizing a two-day conference “WASTE-RESOURCE for the development of the circular
economy in BiH”, which will be held from 07 to 08 December 2023 in Sarajevo.
The conference will bring together decision-makers at all levels, experts who advise decision-makers, entrepreneurs, financiers, public utility companies, representatives of the non-governmental sector and the media.
“It is time to start looking at waste as an energy source, as a resource that can and must be used either in energy production or recycling. All local communities have huge problems with waste disposal, and we need to start finding a systemic solution,” says Sendžana Muslić, Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The aim of the conference is to point out the complexity of the current waste management situation in BiH, and to encourage dialogue on pressing issues, exchange of positive experiences and presentation of good circular economy practices in order to improve waste management.
“Only sustainable waste management provides opportunities for the environment, economy and society in terms of reducing pollution, creating new jobs and a better quality of life,” says Emina Čelebić Mravović, nLogic Advisory.
