The Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Agency for Enterprise Development – Eda, Banja
Luka (Eda Agency), invite women entrepreneurs and women in business from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina to apply
for a free one-day training on public procurement in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will be held on Tuesday,
19.11.2024, starting at 9 a.m., in the premises of the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of BiH (hall on the 5th
floor).
This activity is being implemented within the project Improving the participation of women and gender-sensitive policies in public
procurement at the local level in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is implemented by the Eda Agency. The project is funded
by the Embassy of Canada to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary and Slovenia, through the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives
(CFLI).
1. Subject of the public call
The subject of the public call is free training for women entrepreneurs and women in business on public procurement carried out by contracting authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of increasing capacities for participation in these
procedures. The training is intended for 10 to 15 participants.
2. Objective and content of the training
The aim of the training is to improve the skills of women entrepreneurs and women in business regarding the conditions and criteria for awarding public procurement contracts in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to increase their capacities for participation in public
procurement and increase the overall volume of public procurement contracts awarded to women entrepreneurs.
The training is focused on improving practical skills and on the real skills necessary for
creating competitive bids in public procurement procedures. During the training, attention is
paid to the real problems of bidders that may arise in public procurement and the most common mistakes
that make bids unacceptable or less competitive. Also, a significant part of the training relates to
practical advice on preparing bids.
3. Mentoring support
For three participants who successfully complete the training, the Project will also provide mentoring support regarding the
preparation and submission of bids for published calls for bids in which the entrepreneurs are interested.
4. Lecturers and mentors
The training and mentoring support are provided by lecturers with many years of experience in conducting trainings, and with
extensive practical experience in conducting public procurement procedures.
5. Place and time
The training will be held on 19.11.2024, in the period from 9 to 16 hours, in the premises of the
Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of BiH, Branislava Đurđeva 10, Sarajevo, hall on the 5th floor. The agenda
will be sent later to the registered participants.
6. Application conditions
The right to participate in this public call is granted to women entrepreneurs, i.e. women in business who meet one
of the following conditions:
– Owners or majority owners of business entities registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina,
– Directors/managers of business entities registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina or
– Employees responsible for public procurement and related tasks in business
entities whose owners/co-owners or directors/managers are women.
7. Selection of candidates
The selection of candidates will be carried out according to the order of submitted applications, until a maximum of 15
candidates who meet the conditions stated in this public call are selected.
