THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF THE FEDERATION OF BIH TOOK PART IN THE FINAL CONFERENCE OF THE ERASMUS+ PROJECT PARTISH HELD AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SARAJEVO

The final conference of the ERASMUS+ project “Development of short cycles and part-time studies in higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina” (PARTISH) was held from 12 to 13 December 2024 at the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo.

The project, which ran from 2021 to 2024, aimed to improve the flexibility and inclusiveness of higher education through the development of programs that enable retraining and upskilling, as well as better adaptation to labor market needs.

The conference was opened by Prof. Dr. Tarik Zaimović, Rector of the University of Sarajevo, and Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Project Coordinator. Over the two days, participants had the opportunity to learn about the achieved results, exchange experiences and consider the possibilities of applying short cycles in higher education institutions across Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Special attention was paid to presenting the results of pilot projects at universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as exchanging experiences with partners from the region and the European Union. Key project results were highlighted, including the development of short education cycles that enable the acquisition of specialized and practical skills, thereby increasing access to education for a wider population.

On 13 December, a meeting of the Project Steering Committee was held, at which Emir Pašić, Head of the Center for International Cooperation and EU Funds, participated on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with colleagues from the Chamber of Commerce of the RS, contributed to the implementation of this important project, in which 11 partners from BiH participated over the past four years under the coordination of the University of Novi Sad from Serbia.

The conference concluded with a presentation of the results of pilot projects at BiH universities, final remarks were given with a focus on planning the sustainability of the Project, thereby symbolically concluding a multi-year cooperation that significantly contributed to the development of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The PARTISH project leaves a significant legacy through innovative approaches to education, which will continue to contribute to the development of society and the labor market.
