Mostar, 20 May 2024 – The Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH and the Federal News Agency (FENA) signed a cooperation agreement on Monday in Mostar, reflecting a shared interest and readiness to contribute through their activities within their legal competencies and mission to the development of the economy and media presence in the Federation of BiH.
The agreement was signed by the Vice President of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, Marko Šantić, and the Deputy Director of FENA, Ilija Musa.
– The Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. In cooperation with the Government of the Federation of BiH – the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, the Chamber has planned a series of activities until the end of the current year. The activities planned within strategic communication are aimed at strengthening the position and visibility of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH and the real sector as a whole in the Federation of BiH. The goal of these activities is to increase the visibility of the Chamber’s work and engagement in society and the economy, as well as to inform the wider public about positive stories and activities of the business community. Therefore, I hope that the implementation of this agreement will contribute to better informing the wider public about all the mentioned activities – said the Chamber’s Vice President Marko Šantić at the signing.

The importance of cooperation was also emphasized by the Deputy Director of FENA, Ilija Musa.
– Through mutual cooperation between the Federal News Agency and the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, public awareness will be raised about the activities of business entities and individuals engaged in the economy in the Federation of BiH, about the Chamber’s activities, and through the joint organization of events and implementation of projects, both the business and general community will become familiar with the role of the media in economic development – said Musa.
The signatory parties agree to cooperate particularly on joint analysis, preparation, and media reporting of projects in the fields of media, economy, and economics in which the signatory parties show mutual interest.
The agreement also provides for media coverage and presentation of the economy and promotion of goods and services at home and abroad, organization of trade fair appearances, organization of presentations and promotions, issuance of promotional publications and catalogs, presentation of the economy via the Internet, Chamber publications, and other promotional activities.
The agreement states that the development and organization of joint conferences, panels, round tables, and similar events in areas of mutual interest to the signatory parties is important, as well as the development and harmonization of economic and social interests in the area of the presence of business entities, Chamber members, in the media space.
The agreement also provides for measures to encourage and develop good business cooperation between Chamber members and the Federal News Agency, in the form of encouraging increased business subscriptions and other forms of cooperation.
