Dear Sir/Madam,
The Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry, in cooperation with the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH and with the support of the UN Development Programme (UNDP), has prepared the document Strategy for the Development of the Textile, Clothing, Leather and Footwear Industry in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2024-2033 (Strategy). The document was adopted by the Government of the Federation of BiH, and the Parliament of the Federation of BiH passed a Decision on its adoption (“Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH”, no. 20/25 of 19.03.2025).
At the same time, the Government of the Federation of BiH adopted a conclusion that, within 60 days from the date of adoption of the Decision on the Strategy by the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, a Draft Action Plan for the implementation of the Strategy should be prepared and submitted to the Government of the Federation of BiH for adoption. In order to create a high-quality action plan, we invite you to a workshop that will be held on Tuesday, 06.05.2025, at the UN House in Sarajevo (Zmaja od Bosne bb), starting at 10.00.
In order to achieve greater cooperation among stakeholders in the industry, we invite representatives from the education, science, industry, associations, and cantonal, federal and state ministries to the workshop. At the workshop, we will present the Draft Action Plan 2025-2027 and, together with you, analyze possible tools for implementing the strategy and define priority tasks in implementation. Your participation is very important for the quality solutions that the strategy will offer, and we kindly ask you to ensure the participation of a representative of your company/institution/organization in this process.
