The Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH organizes business meetings with entrepreneurs from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bende, Federal Republic of Nigeria

At the proposal of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, in the period from 3-5 March 2025, business meetings will be held at the Chamber’s premises with representatives of the business community of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bende, Abia, Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Nigerian delegation consists of fourteen entrepreneurs and four officials of the Bende Chamber, and is led by the 2nd Vice President of the Chamber, Moses Osas UWAIFO.

The aim of the business meetings in Bosnia and Herzegovina is to find ways to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries, designed in the form of establishing a network between these two business communities as well as seeking partnerships, cooperation, visits to relevant institutions and companies, and organizing B2B meetings with selected Bosnian and Herzegovinian companies.

We believe that the business meetings will enable the establishment and development of partnerships in the fields of trade, investment, technical cooperation and tourism, and will provide representatives of the Nigerian delegation with insight into the latest economic, industrial and infrastructure development of BiH, production systems and the latest infrastructure solutions.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bende, Federal Republic of Nigeria is responsible for trade, industry, mines and agriculture in the Federal Republic of Abia and they are interested in the following areas in BiH: agriculture, agricultural equipment, hand tools, wine and alcoholic beverages, confectionery, dairy products, food, beverages, baby and children’s clothing, toys and gifts, stationery, office supplies, hospital and laboratory equipment, construction materials and many other products. What is important to emphasize is that they are primarily oriented toward imports, since they are currently a nation based on imports. In addition to the above interests, the delegation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is also open to some other new products and goods that may be of interest to them.

There is also interest from the Nigerian delegation in establishing partnerships with companies from BiH that work in the fields of solid minerals, oil and gas exploration, as well as companies engaged in the import of gypsum, arabic gum, ginger, cocoa and sesame seeds, cashews, garlic, dried hibiscus and some other similar products.

We note that the planned visit arose from the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH’s participation last year in the International Business Conference EXPO 2024 called “INVEST NIGERIA”, at which the NIGERIA – BALKAN business forum was also organized and in which the Chamber actively participated.
