The Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of BiH informs companies from the textile and leather-processing industries that the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of BiH has issued a notice for business entities that generate waste from the textile industry.
Taking into account the growing problem of textile waste management both in EU countries and in BiH, there is a need to collect, to the greatest extent possible, data on the generation of such waste, as well as data on the method of waste treatment from legal entities that generate waste or hand it over to other legal entities engaged in waste management. By the Regulation of the Government of the Federation of BiH on the establishment of the Waste Management Information System in the Federation of BiH (ISUO), the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of BiH was given the obligation to establish, organize, and maintain the ISUO system, and the Law on Amendments to the Waste Management Law from 2024 also defined the obligation to enter data, as well as penalty provisions for non-reporting.
According to the instructions from the Environmental Protection Fund, the deadline for data entry is 31.03.2025, and the first step is registration on the web platform www.otpadfbih.ba, after which the data entry is carried out.
