DualSci

Strengthening capacities for the implementation of dual education in the higher education sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina – DualSci is the name of a three-year project within the Erasmus+ KA2 programme, in which the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH also participates as a project partner.

The main goal of the project is to improve the competencies of students in BiH through the development of a generic dual education model (DUALSCI model) and a legal framework for introducing dual education in order to support the different needs and interests of students, higher education institutions and companies.
The model will be applied, as a pilot project, at four universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The implementation of projects within the Erasmus+ programme enables increased mobility of students and pupils.

In addition to the entity chambers, the project partners include higher education institutions from Austria, Germany and Spain, which will transfer knowledge, practices and expertise to higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the University of Mostar, the University of Zenica, the University of Sarajevo and the University of East Sarajevo.

The aim of the project is for each university to develop a dual education model and contribute to the development of legal frameworks and the accreditation of new dual study programmes.

In this way, the competencies of students in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be improved and cooperation with the economy and numerous companies will increase, the number of unemployed graduates will decrease and the time between graduation and starting work will be shortened.

The project lasts 3 years, from 15 October 2020 to 14 January 2023.
