The Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH informs companies in the plastics and recycling industry that the call for applications for the mentoring program for reducing and recycling plastics is currently open, designed specifically for SMEs and start-ups registered in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Montenegro.
This call is supported by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through the Integrated Waste Management and Marine Litter Prevention in the Western Balkans program. The program has four partner countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Montenegro.
As part of the program, companies will have the opportunity to present their concrete project ideas, ambitions, innovations, and develop or improve their plastic recycling/reduction processes and adapt their products or services.
A team made up of international experts will evaluate the applications and select the most suitable ones for participation in the program. If your company is selected, experts will provide technical advice and mentoring, along with up to three visits to your company to guide you in the transition and strategic steps.
This program represents a unique opportunity for SMEs and start-ups to learn how to develop or improve their plastic recycling/reduction processes and adapt their products or services.
Upon completion of the program and successful implementation of actions, participants will be awarded appropriate certificates.
The call is open until 26.06.2023.
THE PROGRAM INCLUDES:
✅ up to three technical advisory visits by international experts on topics such as reducing plastic packaging, improving recycling processes, business development, marketing, sales, etc.
✅ the possibility of B2B exchange in April/March 2024 in Albania for participants in the program from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Montenegro.
✅ a study trip (all costs covered) to Vienna, Austria, in spring 2024 for the three most successful companies in the program per country.
At the end of the program, certificates will be awarded to participants. All costs related to the above are borne by GIZ.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
✅that the company is a small or medium-sized enterprise/company with a concrete project or idea for reducing or recycling plastics.
✅that the company has been registered for at least 2 years in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo or Montenegro.
✅you have identified a product, service or project related to reducing or recycling plastics that could be developed or expanded.
✅that the company has at least 2 employees in one of the above-mentioned countries.
✅that the company has a registered office address or has activities (e.g. sales, marketing, research and development, production or administration) in one of the above-mentioned countries.
✅that business activities are in line with the applicable labor law and do not have a harmful impact on human health, animal health and the environment.
✅small and medium-sized enterprises with women owners or co-owners are especially encouraged to apply
Important note: this program does not provide business financing nor cover costs that may arise as a result of technical consulting or product development.
