The Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH is a partner in the international project for organizing a master’s study in circular economy and bioeconomy.
The project “AMOCEAB – Adrion Master On Circular Economy and BioEconomy” has officially been launched, funded by the European INTERREG ADRION program. The project involves a broad partnership consisting of 8 European universities from the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region and 2 institutions.
The partnership will be led by the Polytechnic University of Marche (Italy) and will include several prominent European partners: Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna UNIBO (Italy), Technical University of Crete (Greece), Agricultural University of Tirana (Albania), University of Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), School of Advanced Social Studies in Nova Gorica (Slovenia), Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology – University of Zagreb (Croatia), Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy of the Republic of Serbia (Serbia), Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bosnia and Herzegovina), CNA Emilia-Romagna (Italy).
The AMOCEAB project aims to improve capacity for transnational addressing of environmental vulnerability, fragmentation and the preservation of ecosystem services in the Adriatic-Ionian area. In addition, the creation of a master’s study will improve the skills of the involved students and support business organizations in developing solutions and knowledge oriented toward green sustainability.
The main topics of the AMOCEAB project are environmental engineering, biotechnology, biodiversity, circular economy, social impact, sustainable business models and digitalization.
Project objectives:
- Development of solutions and awareness of circular economy and bioeconomy;
- Development of a joint academic pathway for creating new skills in circular economy and bioeconomy;
- Increase the capacities of universities and business support organizations to create expertise in the fields of circular economy and bioeconomy;
- Create a transnational network of universities and organizations active in the fields of circular economy and bioeconomy.
These goals will be achieved through a joint pathway, which includes high research institutions and business support centers within the ADRION area.
Each partner country (Italy, Greece, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia) will commit to supporting the creation of a transnational network and the development of studies on circular economy and bioeconomy, through the organization of training meetings, periodic meetings on the current state of the project, with the involvement of stakeholders in its territory.
