Within the EU4AGRI project, funded by the European Union, a new Public Call worth 2 million BAM for the support measure for investments in primary agricultural production was published on 15 December. Through this public call, the European Union will support agricultural holdings that contribute to stabilizing/strengthening production competitiveness and increasing the productivity level of primary agricultural production. Support will be provided through modernization and the introduction of new technologies and innovations, improvement of product quality, hygiene and food safety, promotion of good business practices and sustainable development through improved management of natural resources, environmental protection, worker protection and food safety, as well as contributions to mitigating the consequences caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Support funds per application may amount from 40,000 BAM to a maximum of 150,000 BAM (excluding VAT). Eligible investments include the purchase of tractors, machines and other agricultural machinery for farmers in BiH. For each project, the applicant must provide own co-financing in the amount of at least 35% of the total eligible costs of the proposed investment. The maximum amount of grant funds through the support measure is 65% of the total eligible costs of the proposed investment for all sectors.
Eligible applicants for grant allocation under the support measure may be crafts/self-employed entrepreneurs, cooperatives and companies.
Who can apply for this Public Call?
For support for investments in primary agricultural production, all projects that relate exclusively to agricultural sectors such as milk production, meat production, cereal and oilseed cultivation, fruit growing – including viticulture and olives, vegetable growing, production of planting material (fruit seedlings, seed potatoes), egg production, and cultivation of herbs and medicinal plants are eligible. Applications for this public call may be submitted from 10.01.2024, and the final deadline for submission of applications is 20.02.2024, by 15:00. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
Applications are submitted exclusively through the electronic application submission system https://javnipoziv.undp.ba/ provided by the EU4AGRI project. Submission of applications in any other format (e-mail, mail, fax, etc.) is not acceptable and applications submitted in that way will not be considered. Additional questions regarding this call may be submitted via the online platform https://javnipoziv.undp.ba/ in the period from 10.01.2024 to 10.02.2024.
