Announcement: Second transnational meeting of the project “G-FEB – Green transition of women entrepreneurs in the Balkans”

Following the successful start of the G-FEB project – Green transition of women entrepreneurs in the Balkans, the second transnational meeting will be held in Bosnia and Herzegovina on 11 and 12 November 2024, at the premises of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The G-FEB project, funded through the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, aims to improve the vocational education and training (VET) system in the Balkan region through the development of innovative, market-tailored training that will enable lifelong learning and the development of sustainable skills among women entrepreneurs.

The first transnational meeting was held in February in Tirana, organized by AAIE Albania, and brought together partners from all participating countries. The meeting was an opportunity to exchange experiences on the current state of green entrepreneurship and vocational education in the region, as well as to plan joint activities to be implemented in the coming period.

The project, under reference number 10112896, addresses key challenges faced by the Balkans and Turkey, including low quality of vocational education, high unemployment rates, especially among women and vulnerable groups, skills mismatch with labor market needs, and a lack of green initiatives. Within this project, the focus will be on creating new opportunities for vocational education that promotes green and sustainable practices.

The project leader is the organization Syndesmos Epicherimation Gynaikon Elladas from Greece, while partners include Shoqata Shqiptare e Ambientalisteve Industriale and Dhoma Ekonomike e Grave te Shqiperise from Albania, the Association of Business Women from BiH, the Association of Business Women from North Macedonia, the Association of Business Women of Montenegro, Türkiye Kadın Girişimciler Derneği from Turkey, and Best Institut fur Berufsbezogene Weiterbildung from Austria.
