The Association of Entrepreneurs “Biznis centar” Jelah-Tešanj, as the organizer together with its partners, is opening the doors for the 17th time to one of the most important business events in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The fair will be held from 27 to 30.09.2023 at the Kamelia d.o.o. Matuzići site – on an area covering over 20,000 m2.
The partner country of the Fair is Hungary. With the indispensable support of the Municipality of Tešanj as a partner, for the first time in the fair organization, cooperation and partnership were achieved through the status of “Fair partner city – City of Živinice”.
A series of accompanying activities such as strengthening cooperation between local communities, confirmations of attendance and new cooperation agreements of chambers of commerce from BiH and the region, B2B meetings, panel discussions on current topics of green transition and renewable energy sources, and several innovations give an additional dimension to the fair event.
In the spirit of traditionally excellent cooperation between the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH and the Association of Entrepreneurs “Biznis centar” Jelah-Tešanj as the organizer of the Fair, the Chamber, on 28.09.2023 starting at 11:00 in the Tešanj Fair premises, is organizing a conference panel on the topic “Consumer ethnocentrism in BiH”
Consumer ethnocentrism as a general preference of consumers for domestic products has been of interest to researchers and practitioners since the 1960s. Today, in all highly competitive markets where the number of tariff barriers is decreasing, consumer ethnocentrism is known as one of the most significant non-tariff barriers to trade. In addition to the business sector, the public sector also deals with consumer ethnocentrism. Many governments around the world have implemented various forms of programs and campaigns related to consumer ethnocentrism and encouraging the purchase of domestic products. The panel on the topic “Consumer ethnocentrism in BiH” was initiated by the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH and brings together representatives of the most successful companies, the academic community and representatives of the public sector as creators of the institutional framework and policies. The aim of the panel is to open space for discussion on consumer ethnocentrism from the perspective of relevant stakeholders in order to gain insight into the different experiences of the business and academic sectors as well as the institutions that make up the framework of the domestic market, all with the aim of creating best practices for encouraging the purchase of domestic products in BiH.
Panel participants are: Dr. Amir Hasičević – Minister of FMT, Ms. Jadranka Penava – Director of Meggle BH, Mr. Ethem Numić – Vice President for Brand Management and Marketing Development at AS Holding, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Beriz Čivić – Faculty of Economics, University of Tuzla and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marko Šantić – President of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH.
The panel is moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marija Čutura – Faculty of Economics, University of Mostar, one of the authors of the book “Consumer ethnocentrism in theory and practice of encouraging the purchase of domestic products”.
See you in Tešanj!
