The solar energy and technology fair “Solarex Istanbul” is one of the main thematic solar energy fairs in Turkey. The fact that a fair on this topic is held in Turkey, recognized as one of the sunniest countries, attracted great interest from representatives of various domestic and global brands that are recognized worldwide and ready to invest in Turkey.
The “SOLAREX Istanbul” fair brought together representatives of the economy, all levels of institutions, governments, experts in the fields of energy, mining, industry, investors, local communities, the academic community, non-governmental organizations and many others.
The Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, together with interested companies from BiH, took part in the fair and used the opportunity to learn about the latest achievements in this field when it comes to technology, equipment and design. The “SOLAREX Istanbul” fair was organized in 4 separate exhibition halls. In parallel with the exhibition of solar equipment and complete solutions, panel discussions and presentations were held in 3 large conference halls. During the fair, it was possible to organize direct B2B meetings with representatives of exhibiting companies, which Bosnian companies used to familiarize themselves with the latest developments and achievements in solar energy.
The importance of this fair for exhibitors is also shown by the fact that among the company representatives there were people with mandates for major decisions such as: executive directors, general managers, procurement directors, production directors, research professors, doctors of science and many others with whom it was possible to discuss major projects and investments in this field at the fair.
If we look at the products and services that were mostly exhibited at the fair, two categories can be distinguished: photovoltaic program-cells, modules, converters, measurement and control technologies, chargers, batteries, cables, connectors, junction boxes, solar tracking systems, mounting systems, installation devices, integrated building solutions (BIPV), “Stand Alone” systems, solar power plant projects, energy storage systems and other materials and equipment for production.
The second category of products relates to solar heating systems such as: absorbers, coatings, collectors, connecting parts, expansion vessels, heat transfer fluids, measurement and control technologies, mounting systems, tanks, production technologies, building-integrated solutions, heat treatment and many other systems.
Given that the fair is a fairly narrow field of solar energy equipment and systems, and that we have 322 exhibitors in one place, it was possible to see several companies exhibiting the same equipment and systems, but approaching them in different ways and from different perspectives.
When we look at the overall systems of production, storage, distribution and consumption of solar energy, we can conclude that this is a very broad field that is much more than solar panels, inverters and battery plants, which represents a kind of opportunity for Bosnian companies, given the long tradition of production and the recognized quality of products already produced in BiH and used in products and systems in this field.
Finally, it is very important to note that during the fair, representatives of financial institutions intensively held presentations in the field of financing the construction of complete solar systems, investments in solar energy production and new materials for solar systems.
