BUSINESS DELEGATION OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA PARTICIPATED IN THE 24TH FAIR OF AGRIBUSINESS, FOOD AND BEVERAGES “AGROKOS 2024”

On 16 October 2024, the 24th International Fair of Agribusiness, Food and Beverages AGROKOS 2024 was opened in Pristina.

The business delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized by the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina with financial support from the Government of Sarajevo Canton, took part for the eighth consecutive time in the 24th International Fair of Agribusiness, Food, Beverages and Gastronomy “AGROKOS 2024.”

Opening this year’s fair, Bekim Xhafa, the fair director, expressed his gratitude in his address to the Bosnian-Herzegovinian business delegation and the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH for supporting the sustainability of this fair, which even during the recent customs barriers and the current visa regime stood by entrepreneurs and thus provided an opportunity for the return of quality Bosnian-Herzegovinian products to the Kosovo market.

The President of the Chamber of Economy of FBiH, Mirsad Jašarspahić, thanked the organizers for their hospitality and many years of cooperation, as well as for their unconditional support in organizing the participation of BiH entrepreneurs at the Agrokos fair over the past eight years.

In addition to the traditionally present AS Holding, which also took part this year in the business delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina together with its member companies Klas from Sarajevo, Vispak from Visoko and Solana from Tuzla, representatives of Sarajevski Kiseljak and Biolife exhibited for the first time at the BiH stand, showing interest in the Kosovo market.

During the fair, BiH entrepreneurs held previously arranged meetings with Kosovo business partners and distributors, along with presentations of new products.

The BiH stand had good attendance and promotion by local media. On the first day of the fair, accompanied by the fair organizer Mr. Bekim Xhafa, the BiH stand was visited by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture Mr. Feton Peci, who expressed satisfaction with the participation of the business delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina at this year’s fair.

In a conversation with President Jašarspahić and BiH representatives, Prime Minister Kurti gave full support to the development of business cooperation between companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, hinting at the unilateral abolition of the visa regime by the Parliament of Kosovo, which will enter into force on 01.01.2025. On that occasion, he emphasized the great importance of the long-standing commitment of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which through its continuous presence over the last eight years provided an opportunity for BiH entrepreneurs to maintain their presence on the Kosovo market, as well as its successful lobbying for support for the development of business cooperation between companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, hinting at the removal of visa barriers for citizens and entrepreneurs from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This year’s Agrokos fair gathered over 150 exhibitors, agricultural and food companies, of which around 130 were from Kosovo, while the rest came from countries in the region and Europe.

The business delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina realized this year’s participation in the Agrokos Fair again with financial support from the Government of Sarajevo Canton.
