Ceremonial celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Chamber of Economy of FBiH held

Exactly 25 years ago in Sarajevo, at the founding Assembly, through the unification of the Chamber of Economy of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Chamber of Commerce of Herceg-Bosna, the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was established, and thus, in accordance with the Law on Chambers of Economy in the Federation of BiH, the process of transforming the chambers was completed.

The Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH is the largest business network in the Federation of BiH. It continuously promotes the interests of its members before local, cantonal, federal and even state government institutions, while connecting all key sectors of the economy through the chamber system, as well as membership within international chamber associations. The role and importance of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH for the Federation and for the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina was also witnessed at the ceremonial celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Chamber’s establishment. Numerous guests from the economic and political life of BiH, international non-governmental organizations, and representatives of chamber associations from BiH, the region and Europe, by their presence only confirmed the importance of the existence and work of such a broad platform as the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH. From several welcoming speeches by political officials and top managers of BH companies, it could be clearly and unequivocally concluded that the Chamber is an institution that connects the executive and legislative authorities with all branches of the economic sector, as well as international associations, and thus provides strong support to both the real and political sectors in integration processes with the EU. The Chamber’s strategic areas of action, focused on green transition, digital transformation, human resources development, and innovation, quality and competitiveness, are certainly deeply involved in the Chamber’s long-term strategic documents and, in addition to caring for its membership and creating a more favorable business environment, form the very top of the priority pyramid of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH.

Finally, the vision of the Chamber’s leadership, to be a leader in supporting companies in the Federation of BiH and to build, through knowledge and competencies, a business environment that will be more favorable, more competitive and more resilient to increasingly turbulent global trends, has been slowly but surely being realized over the past ten years.

All these years, employees, governing bodies, Chamber members and numerous partners have acted toward achieving common goals, guided by a clear vision and mission of existence, and in this way achieved positive synergistic effects. Therefore, the ceremonial celebration of the 25th anniversary was also an ideal opportunity to thank all of them symbolically by awarding appropriate recognitions.
