The President of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirsad Jašarspahić, together with a team consisting of Armin
Hodžić, Director of the Energy Sector and head of the automotive industry group, and Anela Karahasan,
Secretary of the Association for E-mobility and the Association of Authorized Dealers and Car Traders,
paid an official visit to the new Porsche Sarajevo center in Blažuj. The purpose of the visit was to become acquainted with the
investment, the latest achievements, possibilities and innovations that the Porsche Center Sarajevo, with
its family of brands, offers to clients at the new location.
A joint tour of the facility and presentation of achievements that were innovated for the first time in Bosnia and Herzegovina
was presented to representatives of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina by the General Director of Porsche BH for
retail, Mr. Alex Vaszi, the General Director of Porsche BH for wholesale, Mr. Senad Olovčić,
Fleet & Key Account Manager Mr. Jasmin Čengić, and the project manager of the new Porsche facility, Mr.
Almir Barakovac.
The new Porsche Center Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina is above all the largest center within the Porsche Holding group
which operates in 28 countries worldwide. At the same time, this is the only center that brings together
sales showrooms of all brands under one roof, as well as a service workshop, body shop and paint shop.
This double-digit million-euro investment once again shows Porsche Sarajevo’s commitment to the development of the economy and the progress of the automotive industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina. However,
despite the exceptional value of the investment, the kind hosts from Porsche Center Sarajevo emphasize that it is not
contained only in money, but above all in the people behind such projects.
The focus of this investment is alignment with the latest manufacturer standards, ensuring
compliance with the highest industry requirements, which proves that projects seen in Germany or Austria can be fully
implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina. An even more important fact to highlight is that in all
phases of design, construction and equipment procurement, only domestic labor and
domestic suppliers were engaged.
The core of the new Porsche center is sustainability. For heating and cooling the facility, 46 kilometers of
pipes were installed beneath the floor of the entire building. A total of 1,785 registers were also installed on two levels beneath the building, and the
system, combined with heat pumps, is being implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first time. This
system uses geothermal heat and feeds it into the heating and cooling system. Heat pumps that
use electrical energy are used for heat exchange.
A hallmark of the new Porsche facility is that it reflects a commitment to innovation and quality. In this regard,
a photovoltaic system covering 2,200 square meters was also installed, with an annual capacity of
430 MWh. This system can meet more than half of the center’s energy needs. The most modern technologies have been integrated,
including an intelligent system for managing ventilation, heating and
cooling, which can be controlled both locally and remotely. In this way, they achieved their primary
goal, which is reducing energy consumption. In addition, water-saving devices have been implemented, and there
is also an automatic car wash that recycles water and significantly contributes to water savings. The showrooms,
service center and paint shop are fully dedicated to environmental protection. This construction represents significant
progress in the ESG approach of the Volkswagen Group and the sustainability strategy of Porsche Holding Salzburg.
The new Porsche Sarajevo center will provide clients with an improved experience with advanced technology and
a broader range of sales, service and support services in one place. The goal is to provide an efficient and
simplified customer experience. Thanks to this integration, all clients from the family of brands:
Volkswagen passenger and commercial vehicles, Audi, SEAT, Cupra, Škoda, Porsche, Das WeltAuto for used
vehicles, and MOON – chargers for electric vehicles, can do everything in one place – from purchasing and
financing vehicles to maintenance and repairs.
“The facility testifies that Bosnia and Herzegovina can achieve this level of development, making it attractive for
large investments. We believe that with this example we will encourage other domestic and foreign companies
to reinvest their profits and use the potentials the country offers,” the hosts emphasized during the visit.
The Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina extends sincere congratulations on this impressive investment and all
integrated innovative solutions, with sincere wishes for new successes and achievements that will be
an example, model and motivation to other Bosnian and Herzegovinian companies, especially from the aspect of sustainability and
environmental protection.
