The Embassy of the Czech Republic provided support in organizing the five-day international event Sarajevo Energy and Climate Week, which will be held from 25 to 29 September 2023.
The event, organized by the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, and with technical support from nLogic Advisory, is focused on a just transition and decarbonization of the energy sector with the aim of achieving climate neutrality and establishing a circular economy.
“The Czech Republic has been following and supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina in its process of rapprochement with the EU in all areas for a long time. Energy and climate issues must be addressed together with all partners, which is why the Czech Republic decided to support SECW in Sarajevo. Energy as a key sector of the economy in Bosnia and Herzegovina must respond to current international trends, and the Czech Republic has the necessary expertise it can offer to Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the long term, Bosnia and Herzegovina is a priority of Czech development cooperation and the Czech government contributes financially, as well as through the knowledge gained by Czech companies in development projects. Czech companies and research institutions are ready to share their experience in the field of climate change and participate in the necessary infrastructure and innovative projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” says Mr. Aleš Ottmár, Embassy of the Czech Republic.
