Kick-off conference of the ROBONETCBC project held

Last week, on 7 and 8.11.2024, the kick-off conference and kick-off meeting of project partners with stakeholders of the ROBONETCBC project were held in Šibenik, Croatia.

The ROBONETCBC project marks the development of an innovation network for the adoption of solutions in robotics and sensors to improve monitoring and prevent pollution of freshwater and marine ecosystems (Developing innovation network for uptake of solutions in robotics and sensors to improve monitoring and prevention of pollution of freshwater and sea ecosystems).

The project holder is the University of Zadar, and the host of the event was Šibenik-Knin County, one of the project partners. The conference and meeting were also attended by other project partners; Ruđer Bošković Institute, Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor – University of Montenegro, and the Innovation Fund of Montenegro.

Prof. Dr. Ante Šiljeg from the University of Zadar, as lead partner, presented the vision of the ROBONETCBC project, which aims to improve and promote the application of innovative blue technologies for monitoring and preventing pollution in marine and freshwater ecosystems in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro.

All partners presented their institutions and their own scope of work, which contributed to a detailed and clear division of activities for each partner individually in this project. The presentations highlighted the direction of the project, expected results and stakeholder engagement strategies.

The project is being implemented from 1.10.2024 to 31. 03.2027.

The total value of the project is EUR 1,216,654.72, and it is financed under the Interreg IPA Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021-2027 program.
