The Forum of Chambers of Commerce of the Adriatic-Ionian Region, of which the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of BiH is also a member, cooperates with the European network of UNESCO-protected lesser-known sites Mirabilia, which was founded in 2012 in Italy.
Mirabilia, an international network of chambers of commerce, was established with the aim of promoting lesser-known UNESCO-protected sites through a comprehensive approach to strengthening the destination and the cultural and tourist heritage of the Adriatic–Ionian Region. It is also in the process of expanding to other European countries.
Mirabilia is based on mutual cooperation among member chambers of commerce across Europe, connecting key small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the tourism sector with lesser-known UNESCO sites, combining gastronomy, art, crafts, fashion, creative industries, design, cultural and natural heritage with the value chain of cultural-tourism services (accommodation, transport, tour operators, food and beverages, mobility, museums, theaters, etc.) through an integrated approach.
Mirabilia promotes territories and routes of UNESCO-protected, lesser-known sites and enables tourists, in addition to staying in large and famous tourist destinations, to also get acquainted with other, lesser-known but valuable UNESCO sites. The potential of this platform is great, offering a range of opportunities for developing new cultural-tourism routes and programs that are attractive to tourists throughout the year, thereby ultimately strengthening tourism across Europe.
The Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of BiH will continue, through this platform, to promote a number of areas in our country that are of exceptional historical and cultural significance, as well as the natural beauty of the environment of BiH, its gastronomy and wine.
