PORSCHE TAYCAN TURBO Ideal combination of sports performance and electric vehicle characteristics

Given that companies from the Automotive Industry Group of BiH (GAI BiH) also produce parts for
electric vehicles and with the aim of promoting environmentally friendly transport and contributing to the reduction of emissions from
transport, representatives of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, at the 2nd meeting of GAI BiH, at the company Jajce
Alloy Wheels d.o.o. Jajce, were given a fully electric Porsche Taycan Turbo for use.
Given that Porsche brand vehicles are synonymous with quality, safety, detail, prestige and sports
performance, we were interested in how today’s trends in transport electrification fit into the
overall story and heritage of the Porsche brand.

Let us say right away that we could not use the vehicle according to the “usual stories” when it comes to
electromobility, that is, that the average and maximum speed should be significantly reduced in order to
achieve the declared values offered by the battery, i.e. to make it possible to achieve
the maximum range with the vehicle. The reason was that we were late leaving for the meeting and on the way to the company Jajce
Alloy Wheels d.o.o. Jajce, roadworks were being carried out on one section of the road. Because of that, we had to drive
somewhat faster than what is prescribed for electric vehicles, but still within the permitted
limits. And how do you drive a premium sports car with 680 “electric horses” under the hood and
all-wheel drive?

And so, on a 156 km trip, we set off with a battery that was not fully charged, at 88% charge with a remaining
range of 390 km. The declared WLTP range in the city is 468 km, and combined 408 km with a fully
charged battery. The trip to Jajce consisted of 54 km of highway and 102 km of main and local
roads. Despite somewhat “faster” driving, we arrived at the company location with a remaining range of 230 km and 57%
battery charge, which also shows somewhat “more energetic” driving. After the meeting, a test drive was organized
for interested representatives of GAI BiH. The overall impression of all present is that driving
electric vehicles is best expressed when driving vehicles with greater power and a sporty spirit, given the
instant response to the accelerator pedal and the absence of transmission elements, and that in this case impressive driving characteristics are achieved. It is worth noting that the acceleration of the tested Porsche Taycan Turbo
from 0-100 km/h is 3.2 seconds and that to achieve this acceleration in vehicles with internal combustion
engines much more horsepower would be needed than the already mentioned 680 “electric” horsepower of the
Porsche Taycan Turbo. Also, what is especially impressive about this vehicle model is the constant
availability of maximum torque, which amounts to 850 Nm, from vehicle start up to the maximum
speed of 260 km/h. If we take into account the vehicle’s mass, which is slightly less than 2500 kg, the stated
characteristics are more than impressive.

On the return trip, over 121 km, we set off much more relaxed and drove more slowly and calmly, enjoying
every kilometer driven in one of the most sophisticated vehicles of today, intended for
everyday regular use. We arrived at our final destination with 28% battery remaining and 121 km
of remaining range. It should be added that the starting and ending altitude on the return from Jajce differ by about 120 meters. Contributing to all this is the installed battery with a gross capacity of 93.4 kWh,
which takes 9 hours to charge from 0-100% on a slow 11 kW AC charger, while on a fast DC
charger of maximum power, it takes 22.5 minutes to charge the battery from 5-80%.

WLTP is 23.6 kWh/100 km) which is excellent considering what kind of vehicle it is, but also what roads we drove on. Here we will not talk about consumption in convertible marks, but we will say that the average consumption
on the mentioned route, converted into the currency of “liters of fuel”, amounts to a little more than one liter of super
unleaded gasoline per 100 km.

What especially distinguishes Porsche brand vehicles is their elegant yet sporty silhouette, with very
pronounced curves, which gradually slopes toward the rear, making the vehicle look very attractive both from
the front and from the rear. Highly pronounced muscular fenders, low sports suspension as well as a sharp sound make the
Porsche Taycan Turbo exude an even more spirited sporty character. The unusual progressive design
of the vehicle is highlighted by automatic door handles, which automatically retract or extend upon
locking or starting the vehicle. Particularly worth mentioning is the very fast and effective change of driving mode
with the wheel located on the steering wheel rim, where by selecting different driving modes, you turn the subdued stallion
into a barely tameable beast ready for all challenges on the road. Excellent sports performance is
further emphasized by comfortable sports seats, accommodating 4 adults with enough space in terms of
height and depth for both front and rear passengers.

During the trip we could not fail to notice many curious looks and that with every kilometer driven we attracted more and more attention given that this Porsche model is not so often present on
the streets of our country, especially considering that it is an electric Porsche model. At every

stop, curious passers-by, as well as business people, immediately asked for more information and wanted to
be photographed and filmed next to the Taycan.

The driving experience of such a vehicle is impossible to describe in words, but what is certain is that once
you sit behind the wheel of the Porsche Taycan Turbo you absolutely merge with the vehicle and do not want to ever get up from the
driver’s seat. Therefore, if you want to try this vehicle, the staff of Porsche Center Sarajevo are at your disposal and by simply scheduling a test drive you can experience everything said earlier and convince
yourself that everything stated is more than true.

For the provided vehicle, we thank the authorized importer of Porsche vehicles for the territory of BiH, Porsche
Center Sarajevo, as well as the importer of vehicles from the Volkswagen Group, Porsche BH d.o.o. Sarajevo.
