The final preparations for this year’s 18th International Economy Fair Tešanj-BiH 2024
are in the final phase.
This year as well, the fairgrounds will be located in the business zone “Kamelia” in Doboj Jug, with 7,000
square meters of indoor and over 18,000 square meters of outdoor exhibition and fair
space.
“With pride we can say that all fair capacities are filled. 61 percent are
domestic exhibitors and 39 percent foreign exhibitors,” said the president of the Association “Biznis
centar” Jelah-Tešanj, Saća Prnjavorac.
Along with collective exhibitors from Montenegro and Serbia, this year the partner city of the fair is Cazin, and
the partner country is Indonesia.
It is a fact that the Tešanj fair is growing into a respectable economic event:
“which aims to tirelessly connect business people, economic entities, people with
vision and people who bring new ‘Now How’, new ‘Fi’, a new better and more quality
future,” said OO Fair member Izudin Ahmetlić.
As part of the accompanying program, a panel discussion on the metals
sector is also planned, which is very important for businesses given the fact that in two
years a mechanism for taxing exports to the EU will be introduced for companies that do not have
a proper emissions trading system for carbon dioxide.
“This means that every product from BiH will be more expensive on that traditional European
market, which means that through this panel we will point out what this country needs to
do in order to mitigate this blow to our exporters,” explains Mirsad Jašarspahić,
president of the Chamber of Economy of FBiH.
This year’s economy fair will be held from 25 to 28 September.
