On Thursday, 18 January 2024, IUS Life – Center for Lifelong Learning organized an exceptional
event at Hotel Europe in Sarajevo. On this occasion, three innovative Erasmus+ projects were presented:
IntervetWB, Joint Hosting and TEF (Tourism Education Future).
The event was led by key representatives of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) and IUS Life: Mirsada
Mehremić, Sibela Beširević and Irma Kustura. Dynamic presentations were delivered by students who actively participated in the projects: Kenan Junuzović, Nikola Cvjetinović, Nedžada Hodžić, Hamza Kurtović, Hanah Spiljak, Elma Hodžić and Kemal Velić.
Those present were addressed by Mirsad Jasarspahić, President of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina,
Farida Cikotić, Deputy Minister of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Lejla Kapidžić from the National Erasmus Office, Samir Avdić, Deputy Mayor of the City of Sarajevo, Anja Margetić-Stakić, Deputy Mayor of the City of Sarajevo, Bahra Pašić, Director of the Secondary School of Tourism and Hospitality, and Azra Atagić-Ćatović, Director of the business portal Akta.ba.
The event was attended by Riccardo Righelli, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in BiH, thereby expressing his support for IUS Life projects.
The event was honored by the presence of respected representatives of domestic institutions and companies: the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the National Erasmus Office, representatives of the City of Sarajevo administration, directors and representatives of secondary schools, hotel groups, travel agencies, associations and companies.
The event was held in an interactive atmosphere and discussed the importance of Erasmus+ projects,
the internationalization of vocational education, innovations in the teaching process with an emphasis on project-based learning,
the use of digital technologies, etc.
Those present had the opportunity to learn about the significance of the presented projects, which can bring innovations to the education of future generations. The event provided a platform for dialogue and cooperation, and pointed to the importance of strengthening the connection between educational institutions and business entities, which will undoubtedly contribute to empowering future professionals.
IUS representatives invited companies to join these projects, which are important both for pupils and students and for the promotion of our city and country.
The IUS Life Center for Lifelong Learning expressed gratitude to the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH for its continuous support in the implementation of projects.
