The General Coordination Meeting of the Build Skilla Project was held in Athens, Greece, on June 6–7, 2024.

The host of this gathering was the Athens University of Economics and Business, bringing together partners from Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Germany, Cyprus, Lithuania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Project focus remains on the strategic development of upskilling and reskilling the construction ecosystem with certified transition skills and competencies through a network of VET providers across Europe.

Key achievements and discussions included:

– Upskilling and reskilling methodology: Presented by Dr. Ebun Akinsetee and Voula Samara from the Athens University of Economics and Business.

– Digital platform: Presented by Eleni Toli and Panagiota Koltsida to support our educational methodology.

– Work package updates: Leaders shared progress and engaged in fruitful discussions on methodology and certification processes.

– Special address: Prof. Phoebe Koundouri discussed AE4RIA – the Alliance of Excellence for Research and Innovation on Αephoria and highlighted the report “Twin Skills for the Twin Transition” launched during #COP28.

The meeting was attended on behalf of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation by Armin Hodžić, leader of the thematic group for developing the Project Methodology.

This meeting highlighted the commitment of the project partners and the value of the project for the industry. In addition to productive sessions, participants enjoyed networking and fostering a spirit of cooperation.
