The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH reminded taxpayers that the legal deadline for the possibility of writing off statutory default interest on public revenues under the Law on Amendments to the Law on the Rate of Default Interest on Public Revenues expires on 21 October this year.
If, no later than the stated date, they pay all costs on the basis of the principal debt due up to 31 December 2019 and the costs of initiating forced collection proceedings, and submit a request for the write-off of default interest (ZAOK), taxpayers have the possibility of having the default interest written off.
The request for the write-off of default interest on public revenues – Form ZAOK – must be submitted by taxpayers to the competent tax office no later than 21 October this year, and the request form can be downloaded from the website of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH.
“The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH calls on taxpayers to use, no later than 21 October this year, the possibilities prescribed by the Law on Amendments to the Law on the Rate of Default Interest on Public Revenues and thereby exercise the right to write off debt on the basis of default interest, which will no longer be possible after the expiry of the stated legal deadline”, the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH announced.
