On 5.10.2023, the Tourism Development Strategy in the Federation of BiH for the period 2022-2027 was adopted in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH. With this, the Federation of BiH received this important strategic document for the first time.
This is a document that does not mark the end of the task, but represents the foundation and the first step towards a lasting, emphasized partnership and professional approach to the development of tourism in the Federation of BiH. The permanent goal of the Strategy’s implementation is the satisfaction of tourists and tourism workers.
Tourism is recognized as an economic activity and marked as a priority in the strategic goals and measures of development of the Federation of BiH. Also, rich tourism potentials, with careful and planned investments, can become a generator of economic development in a short time.
The Chamber of Economy/Commerce of the Federation of BiH has been a key partner since 2021 and, together with the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism and with the support of the USAID Tourism project, has been intensively working on the development of the Tourism Development Strategy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina 2022-2027.
This strategic document clearly defines the priorities, namely the development of tourism products, destination marketing and human resources, as well as the improvement of the stimulating environment for the development of sustainable tourism.
By the way, the Tourism Development Strategy in the Federation of BiH for the period 2022-2027 was previously adopted at the session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH on 28 September this year. The Chamber of Economy/Commerce of F BiH thanks the representatives in both houses of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH for their commitment and adoption.
