Venice University 16.04.2024
In the period from 16 to 18 April 2024, under the organization of the University of Venice within the Project “jOiNEd For sUsTainability – bUilding climate REsilient communities in WB and EU – 1FUTURE”, working meetings of the Project Steering Committee were held, in which, on behalf of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, Emir Pašić, head of the Center for International Cooperation and EU Funds of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, participated.
The primary goal of the 1Future Project is to support higher education institutions in the Western Balkans in building capacities in the areas of sustainability, resilience and climate action.
During the visit, study programs and subjects taught at the University of Venice were presented, relating to the topics covered by the 1FUTURE project – sustainability and climate change.
A visit to the rectorate was organized, as well as a tour of the Faculty of Architecture, with a presentation of systemic energy efficiency solutions applied in the spirit of the main mission of this Project.
In the second part of the working visit, Steering Committee meetings were held during which the results achieved so far in the implementation of the 1FUTURE project were presented and analyzed, and further activities and their implementation dynamics were planned.
During the two-day meetings of the Project Management, the final draft of the Project Climate Sustainability Plan was established, thematic workshops were held, along with an agreement on the training plan, the principles of cooperation on a joint thematic journal, as part of the plan for disseminating the Project outcomes, and harmonizing the principles of financial reporting, as well as agreeing on further activities for the implementation of this Project co-financed by the European Union.
