8 November 2023, in the premises of the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Civil Engineering of the University of Tuzla, within the implementation of the 1Future project, co-financed by the EU, a working meeting was held between representatives of the faculty, Ms. Edisa Nukić, Ms. Jelena Marković and Mr. Zvjezdan Karadžin with the head of the Center for International Cooperation and EU Funds of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, Mr. Emir Pašić.
The 1FUTURE project is entering a new phase of implementation in which research is being conducted on awareness of climate change and the measures that companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina are taking to protect themselves from its effects and consequences. The results of the research will serve higher education institutions involved in the Project to improve their curricula by including new content that will contribute to raising awareness and education about climate change and sustainable development. At the Project level, this research will serve to establish a platform for cooperation between the business sector, authorities and educational institutions, as well as other interested parties.
The Project has set ambitious plans in terms of a comprehensive analysis that includes business entities, local communities and institutions in order to identify needs in terms of capacities and knowledge in the field of climate change and sustainability.
The Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH is a partner in the Project, together with the University of Tuzla, and at the meeting a series of activities were agreed for the coming period that will enable the successful implementation of this phase of the 1FUTURE project.
