Dear businesspeople, representatives of the public sector and the academic community,

we are pleased to invite you to cooperate in the preparation of the strategic development document of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the construction materials industry, covering the period from 2016 to 2025.

With the aim of improving the business environment for production in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and increasing the degree of export orientation of industrial production, the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mining of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has decided to prepare the Strategy for the Development of the Construction Materials Industry of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the lead institution in preparing this document, together with representatives of the Working Group from the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mining of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and businesspeople/producers of construction materials.

As part of the activities related to the preparation of this strategic document, the draft Strategy was presented to the public through three organized public hearings (Tuzla, Sarajevo, Zenica), and the proposed text was subjected to additional critical opinions, proposals and suggestions from businesspeople, construction materials producers, and representatives of public and educational institutions.

In accordance with the Regulation on the rules for the participation of the interested public in the procedure for preparing federal legal regulations and other acts (Official Gazette of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, No. 51/12), we present to you the draft version of the Strategy for the Development of the Construction Materials Industry of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the period 2016-2025.
