The Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, in cooperation with the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH and the Chamber of Commerce of the Republika Srpska, is starting the process of collecting requests, i.e. proposals for amendments to the “Decision on the temporary suspension and temporary reduction of customs duties on the import of certain goods for 2026”.
If, for the needs of your own production, you import from third countries (countries with which BiH has no signed trade agreements) a certain raw material (material that becomes part of your final product) or intermediate material (basic material from which your product is made), and there is no production of such raw material/material in Bosnia and Herzegovina, then it is possible for that product to be granted a total suspension or a certain reduction of the customs duty.
We invite you to submit your proposals for tariff numbers of raw materials and materials you use in your own production process, and which cannot be obtained on the domestic market in the quantities and quality required for the production of finished products, by 20.04.2025.

Also, according to the instructions of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, it is recommended that business entities submit up to 5 proposals for tariff codes that are not already included in the Decision in question.
In accordance with the request of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, if you are proposing a tariff number for the first time, please provide us with the following information in a separate letter on your company’s official letterhead:
1. Contact information:
– company name,
– ID number
– contact details: phone number, email, address
2. Full product name according to the Customs Nomenclature from 2025 – tariff number with 10 digits and the amount (in KM) of customs duty paid on the specified product in 2024, as well as the import quantity by tariff number, proposed customs rate for the specified tariff code;
3. Description of production; Production capacity; Number of employees; Explanation that these are materials and raw materials used in own production. Please note that spare parts, auxiliary parts, tools, etc., although serving the purpose of final production, cannot be covered by this Decision.
4. Information on how much the reduction of customs costs will affect your business through possible hiring of new workers, better competitiveness in export markets, new investments, a reasoned explanation that these are materials and raw materials used in own production, and any other information that will justify the abolition or reduction of the customs rate, such as plans for future activities in the field of investment, expansion of production facilities, employment and increased exports, and other data that confirm this.
If the use of the tariff (intermediate material/raw material) you propose also achieves the effect of networking in procurement and/or cooperation with other companies in BiH, please state and explain that information as well.
Please do not submit proposals concerning tariff codes that are already covered by the Decision, since the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH has already directly contacted, in the previous period, the companies that are beneficiaries of the privileges based on tariff codes in the existing Decision.
