In the organization of ICE – the Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalization of Italian companies, in cooperation with the UCIMU Association – the Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machine Tools and Robots, five companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina visited the BIMU 2024 fair – the International Fair dedicated to the manufacturing industry of metal cutting and forming machine tools, robots, automation systems, digital and additive manufacturing, and auxiliary technologies, held in Milan from 9 to 12 October 2024.
Representatives of the companies Tisa komerc d.o.o. from Žepče, Ćićak d.o.o. from Međugorje, MDG International d.o.o. from Vogošća, Alternativa d.o.o. from Sarajevo, and Pobjeda d.d. from Tešanj had the opportunity at one place to see major global manufacturers of CNC machines, robots, artificial intelligence, measuring and testing equipment, clamping devices, software, electronics, automation systems, digital solutions, and more. More than 750 exhibitors with state-of-the-art machines for the metal industry were presented at the fair. In addition to the exhibition part, visitors could attend various lectures and presentations on the latest achievements, innovations, and cybernetics. The importance of the BH metal industry is great, and it forms the backbone of the economy. Official export data show that in the first eight months of 2024, exports of the metal industry of BiH amounted to 4.8 billion KM, which is 44% of BiH’s total exports. It is important to note that Italy is among the most significant foreign trade partners of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
We believe that fair visits will reveal new opportunities, open new jobs and new markets. The Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH, as a representative of business interests, will continue to explore new possibilities and opportunities in the interest of the BH economy.
