The Federal Minister of Trade, Amir Hasičević, met with members of the Association of Real Estate Brokers and representatives of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of BiH. They exchanged information about trends and problems faced by real estate brokers and agreed on more intensive cooperation in the joint fight against the ‘black market’ in the real estate sector.
They also discussed the implementation of the Law on Real Estate Brokerage, whose full implementation began in October 2021. Real estate brokers pointed out the problem of the ‘black market’, where agents without a work license are also involved in the sale of real estate. Next steps were agreed in terms of eliminating the shortcomings of the current legal provisions and regulating this area in more detail and more precisely. Regular meetings were agreed upon in order to improve this area.
The Federal Ministry of Trade maintains a register of real estate brokers, which is published on the Ministry’s website. In the Federation, a total of 135 real estate agencies are registered, employing 177 certified agents.
