From 3 to 7 November 2025, 13 representatives of institutions and organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina stayed in Slovenia with the aim of exchanging experiences on how innovation drives sustainable development and economic growth through building a supportive innovation ecosystem. A representative of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina also took part in the visit. During the visit, they became acquainted with the structure and functioning of the innovation ecosystem in Slovenia, as well as with practices that can be adapted and applied in the Bosnian and Herzegovinian context.
Participants had the opportunity to become more closely acquainted with examples of successful innovation management, financial support instruments, regulatory frameworks that encourage the development of innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as mechanisms of cooperation between different stakeholders – from the academic community and the private sector to government institutions and research organizations.
The exchange of experiences and direct contacts with Slovenian partners will contribute to strengthening the capacities of domestic institutions and aligning Bosnia and Herzegovina’s innovation policies with European standards and best international practices, opening space for future cooperation and joint initiatives in the field of innovation and digital transformation.
The study visit was organized within the project “Better Governance for Faster Economic Growth (EGG2)”, funded by the Government of the Kingdom of Norway and implemented by UNDP in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
